Website “Breitbart Unmasked” Embraces and Defends Convicted Terrorist

Read it for yourself. These fine folks not only don’t have a problem with a convicted bomber harassing conservative bloggers, they pile on the victims! To them Kimberlin isn’t a deviant criminal or terrorist, he’s a progressive activist victimized by the radical right. To them, blogging historical facts about a person isn’t news or free speech, its stalking. Seriously. (Check out the vile tweets in the sidebar while you’re there.)

What was it Andrew said? Oh yes:

Everything has changed in the last few years. Conservatives used to take it and we’re not taking it anymore.

they’ve held over our heads, with contempt, the false narrative of their innate tolerance. The least tolerant people you will ever meet in your entire lives. I know it. I live it every single day. And I retweet it to remind them that I know exactly who they are.

They are at war with you. And they attack you and they throw eggs at you. And guess what? The media looks the other way.

And, finally:

Europe Driving Off the Cliff

Remember when progressives lectured  Americans on the need for the United States to be more like Europe? Good times, good times.

From Boris Johnson at The Telegraph on Greece:

In the eyes of every politician there is a glassy humiliation, a sense that the fate of the nation is no longer in their hands. Even worse than the humiliation is the dread that things will deteriorate further still. Thousands are now being fed by soup kitchens.

Translation: Leaders don’t know what they’re doing, are powerless to impact the situation in a positive way, and are realizing that as bad as things are now, they’re going to get a lot worse.

Unemployment is rising by the day, and among young people it now stands at a shameful 54 per cent. Yup, folks – those are the results of an EU plan to produce “growth and jobs”. It was called the euro, and it has been a catastrophe for Greece and pretty bad (with one notable exception) for the rest of the continent.

But Boris moves from Greece to the heart of Europe:

Europe now has the lowest growth of any region in the world. We have already wasted years in trying to control this sickness in the euro, and we are saving the cancer and killing the patient. We have blighted countless lives and lost countless jobs by kidding ourselves that the answer to the crisis might be “more Europe”. And all for what? To salvage the prestige of the European Project, and to spare the egos of those who were wrong and muddle-headed enough to campaign for the euro.

A government focus on plans for jobs and growth that has failed miserably. Does that sound familiar?

Quote of the Day

But what is liberty without wisdom, and without virtue? It is the greatest of all possible evils; for it is folly, vice, and madness, without tuition or restraint. -Edmund Burke

Teachers, Students, Classrooms, Education and Activism

At Hot Air: Teen Hunter Rogers, whose teacher said he could be jailed for speaking ill of Obama, speaks out to Fox and Friends:

[She] always has open discussions about the presidents and candidates, and she doesn’t want to hear anything but what she believes, and if you disagree you get berated and put down, and I just decided to finally get some proof of it.

Rogers’ mother added:

“My biggest concern is that this ‘teacher’ is responsible for teaching my child and hundreds of others, and she is not teaching them factual information.”

Howard Portnoy points out:

A concern that is not raised is the inappropriateness of any teacher using her classroom as a bully pulpit to indoctrinate students regardless of the beliefs being shared.

As a product of the California Public School System in the 70’s and 80’s, I have no choice but to laugh out loud in reaction to the suggestion that it’s inappropriate for teachers to use the classroom as a bully pulpit. It would be more accurate to call it Standard Operating Procedure.

Truth or Liberal Dogma?

President Obama’s ThoughtSpeak Squad … er … I mean “TruthTeam”(TM) has a new graphic that will obviously play well with citizens who are already sold on Obama:

When you’re a Senator, your job is to vote “Present.” But once you’re President, your job is to rid society of liberally perceived social malaise because, well, you can and you know how. It’s good have this understanding, as I always thought the President was supposed to run the Federal Government, serve as Commander-in-Chief to the United States Military, and represent the West as Leader of the Free World.

But once again we see the President lowering himself and flogging his office to score points against the evil private sector, ending with yet another appeal to “fairness.” He’s been marinating in the culture of grievance for his entire life. The suggestions that there’s nothing fair about life, and that none of us is truly equal, are anathema to the progressive dogma.

Here’s the reality (H/T Ace of Spades HQ):
