McCain’s defeatist attitude and willingness to take a subservient position to the Left is disappointing for a man who is hailed as a war hero. I think about all the times he opposed his own party to “cross the aisle” and compromise on principles. I then think of what a dis-sprited campaign he ran against Obama. Then I remember that he has accepted contributions from George Soros and the Tides Foundation (Teresa Heinz Kerry) since 2001. It dawns on me that McCain is probably not the best person to give advice to the Republican Party. True Conservatives would have a pretty good batting average if they just listened and did the opposite of whatever McCain is promoting in the political sphere.(Sarah Palin is the exception and I suspect he really hoped to do harm.)
