On the Right Track

I’ve only had the blog running since March 29th and the last post, “Quote of the Day” was #500. That’s a lot of articles for a dumb ground squirrel.

I’ve kept an eye on traffic and patterns and tried to provide more articles like the ones that receive traffic. Of course I don’t know if people enjoy the blog or hate it, as I don’t get a whole lot of feedback. I have two regular commenters, and one is my Dad, who I have to pay…  So it’s tough to tell. Regardless, I keep plugging away.

My posts on the Chick-fil-A appreciation day hit a nerve on the left. Hits from facebook have skyrocketed. I don’t get three comments a month. But mention that the tolerant progressives don’t understand the basic concept of liberty and suddenly I get three in a matter of hours. I must be doing something right.

I stop by occasionally but don’t comment much because I don’t have a lot to say. It certainly isn’t because I don’t appreciate the blog, I just don’t see the use of ‘ditto’ or ‘me too’ comments. I’ve been away for awhile, I just had two whole hip replacements and haven’t been online much, just didn’t feel like doing much and frankly what little I’ve done has tired me out all out of proportion to the effort normally involved.

    Mr. Chipmunk,
For what it is worth I think your blog is great. You cover interesting and important things that the big dogs often miss. As more people discover you, your hits will grow anong with the comments. PS – If your dad wants to split with me I will comment more often.
