God has become so offensive to the anti-religious that all traces must be scrubbed away. FOX 25 Boston is reporting that a local school in preparing for an assembly concert had altered the lyrics to Lee Greenwood’s song from “God Bless the USA” to “We love the USA”. When parents objected to the change, the school, rather than restoring the lyrics to the song and moving on, announced that the assembly concert would now include no songs.
That’s a poor response, don’t you think? Is it reasonable? It sounds like punishment or retribution for objecting. Maybe even like revenge. Call it what you want, the message is clear: Next time, shut up or we’ll cancel again. These aren’t lessons American children need to learn from their teachers.
