Gawker’s Fox Mole

Yesterday Gawker posted that they have a mole at Fox News. At first, I thought, “Who cares?” Fox has disgruntled workers, too? Color me shocked. But the mole isn’t just disgruntled. The mole is unhinged. The mole believes that because they work at Fox News, they have been blacklisted. And what’s more, it isn’t Fox News on-air content or their main web content that is forcing mole-person out. It is “Fox Nation”, a stub of FoxNews.com that is a dumb place that even I as a conservative do not roam. It is a cesspool of immaturity, logical fallacy, unbridled arrogance and unabashed narcissism on both sides of the political spectrum.

The reality is that this mole-person is simply a partisan with an agenda. After years at Fox, realizing that the place is actually pretty balanced, s/he had to resort to feigning excessive stress imposed by the comments posted at a minor stub of the website. Seriously. That was “the final straw.”

And blacklisted? That’s just paranoid fantasy. You’re blacklisted when Fox fires you and then nobody will even talk to you, much less interview. If you’re currently employed and you can’t find another gig, there’s something else that’s wrong, either with you, your skills and abilities, your work product, your references, or your story altogether. If I was hiring at MSNBC, and a currently employed Fox Staffer came to me who had the skills and experience I need, I hire them. Suggesting that someone at Fox can call me up at MSNBC and blacklist my potential employee is profoundly stupid! Hell, that would peak my interest! I’d be all over them with curiosity! Wouldn’t you? Who are they kidding?

Jammie Wearing Fools brings the snark:

If this person really exists and had any guts he or she would resign if they’re so offended by Fox Nation. But no, instead they whore themselves out for a gossip rag.
