Obama Comments on Work-at-Home Moms

The President made a few comments regarding the rhetorical attack on Ann Romney and work-at-home moms, separating himself from the statements made by Hilary Rosen:

“There is no tougher job than being a mom,” Obama told a TV station in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. “And when I think about what (my wife) has had to do, when I think about my own mom, a single mother raising me and my sister, that’s work.

“So, anybody who would argue otherwise I think probably needs to re-think their statement. More broadly, I don’t have a lot of patience for commentary about the spouses of political candidates.”

In a tweet, Obama campaign manager Jim Messina was more specific:

“I could not disagree with Hilary Rosen any more strongly. Her comments were wrong and family should be off limits. She should apologize.”

While I agree with the substance of the words, I’d like to introduce him to this lady named Sarah Palin and her children.  Do you suppose we can expect a statement from the President expressing support for her efforts as a mother, and condemning the brutal attacks on her family as “off-limits?”

Exit question: What do you suppose the results are when you Google, “obama condemns attacks on palin?”
