Troopathon 2012

Breitbart’s Dana Loesch is reporting:

Organized by Move America Forward, we raised over $371,000 dollars. Funds raised go towards providing care packages for our men and women overseas. Despite assurances from the Obama administration that the war on terror is “over,” it isn’t for the nearly 90,000 troops still stationed in Afghanistan.

Obama Agrees With Andrew Breitbart (Updated)

In his weekly address, President Obama said (emphasis mine):

Over the past couple weeks I’ve been talking with folks across the country about how we’re going to rebuild an economy where if you work hard, you and your family can get ahead.

And right now, there’s a big debate going on in Washington over two fundamentally different paths we can take as a country to do that.

Interestingly enough, Andrew Breitbart said the same thing at CPAC ’12:

There are two paths. There are two paths. One is America. And the other one is Occupy. One is America. The other one is Occupy.

Guess which one Obama wants?

Soon, we’ll face a choice between these two different approaches. On January 1st, taxes are set to go up for tens of millions of Americans. I think that would be a huge financial hit for middle-class families. That’s why I’ve cut middle-class taxes every year that I’ve been President — by $3,600 for the typical family. And that’s why, this week, I called on Congress to immediately stop the January 1st tax hike from hitting any American on the first $250,000 of their income.

Actually, Mr. President, Tax cuts are set to expire and return to their pre-cut levels. Calling it a tax increase isn’t exactly honest. But that’s par for Obama, a man who wouldn’t know truth if it punched him in the mouth:

Under my plan, 98% of American families won’t see their income taxes go up at all. But the other 2% of Americans will have to pay a little more in taxes on anything they make over $250,000. In other words, the wealthiest few Americans will go back to the income tax rates they were paying under Bill Clinton. And if you remember, that was when our economy created nearly 23 million new jobs, the biggest budget surplus in history, and millionaires were doing pretty well.

Seriously. And he said it with a straight face. The balls on this guy. Sure, Clinton had a surplus, this is simple fact. But Obama tries to associate himself and his tax policies with a surplus, when that is an absolutely bold faced lie. Here’s a graph of the budget surplus since 1980. Do YOU believe Obama’s expiration of tax cuts for the 2% over 250,000 will have ANY impact whatsoever on those numbers?

[Added:] It needs to be pointed out that if the President was serious about his proposal, he would discuss the anticipated results, the actual impact of his policy on the deficit numbers. If the President is being honest and his characterization of his policy implementation is accurate, it would be compelling to hear the “Obama Numbers” versus the “Tax Increase Numbers.” It would sell itself… and we critics would have to shut the hell up… if it’s true.

But it’s just another lie. We hear our President vilify those rich people earning over $250,000 not paying their fair share. We hear the President echo the Occupy Wall Street rhetoric about “the wealthy” versus “the rest of us” repeated incessantly. And it’s all diversion. It’s class division based on an appeal to envy and resentment, and a desire to punish those who have attained success while rewarding those who believe success is evil. And none of it has anything to do with the best interests of Americans or curing our economic ills; it’s all to bolster a voting bloc for Obama’s reelection. It’s the only thing that matters.

What could go wrong?

Obama and Kimberlin: Comrades in Arms

I was reading a piece at Breitbart this morning about the Obama Campaign and the Bain attack strategy (emphasis mine):

President Barack Obama, who has no business or economic qualifications whatsoever, accused rival Mitt Romney in a CBS interview of being unable to grasp “the economy as a whole.” Success and profit in the private sector, Obama said, were only part of the economy: “[A]s president, my job is to think about the workers,” he said, defining his role in terms peculiar to the world of community organizing and Big Labor.

In the interview, excerpts of which were released by CBS today, the president doubled down on his campaign’s attack on Mitt Romney for “outsourcing” (i.e. offshoring)–a claim that has been exhaustively debunked by fact-checking organizations that are typically partial to Obama and his party. He allowed that Romney “says…he understands the economy and the private sector,” but maintained that “there are questions there that have to be asked” about Romney’s successful business record.

This whole thing is a sham. The best interests of All Americans never even enters our President’s mind. Representing his politics and ideology honestly and selling his vision to the voters isn’t even a consideration. The American People are never going to have an opportunity to compare the two sides and make an informed decision at the voting booth.

Then I realized this behavior, this tactic, is the M.O. of convicted drug dealer, perjurer, and Speedway bomber Brett Kimberlin’s Velvet Revolution. As Lee Stranahan points out the Velvet Revolution states:

The tactics and the power of the Democrats and progressives in this country have not been sufficient to check the actions of a corrupt Republican agenda. The left has not been able to develop the necessary tactics to win this battle for the heart of America, despite the fact that there are many fine progressive organizations with many members. The leadership of the Democratic Party has generally engaged in a pattern of appeasement, and few organizations have had the clout or backbone to go toe to toe with the extreme right. In many major battles recently, the Democrats have rolled over…

It’s scary enough when there are general citizens so skewed that they are acting on this strategy. But when the leader of the free world embraces it? There’s nothing appeasing about Obama’s tactics and the suggestion that he’s rolled over is laughable. The Democratic Party is equally engaged in this strategy as earlier this week we learned that they are actively stalking Republicans, taking creepy videos of candidate’s homes, businesses, and often going for a 360 degree shot:

The truly crazy bit? This is apparently under the aegis of the Democrats themselves: “Democrats, on the other hand, insist the videos are fair game — and are unapologetic about the hardball tactics.” The videos are apparently being sponsored by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (at least, that’s how I’m interpreting DCCC spokesman Jesse Ferguson’s defiant defense of the practice); certainly there seems to be a common format, and it’s been done in multiple locations at this point. Which basically means that the DCCC is out and out stalking the Republican party.

When the President of the United States and his political party refuse to debate politics honestly, when they divide and separate us along racial, sexual, gender, economic and other lines, when they perpetuate debunked lies about Obama’s opponent, and when they engage in tactics that at best have a disturbing resemblance to the tactics of the Velvet Revolution, a fringe leftist organization run by a convicted domestic terrorist, what are we to think about the state of our liberty? And when you see the overwhelming media bias that protects and fights for him? How are we supposed to fight that?

Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.

I hope it doesn’t come to that.

P.S. Given Kimberlin’s tactics and the thin skin of the man in the White House, I’m certain that this blog post will be seen as harrassment and threats. I expect a lawsuit and a knock at the door from the Secret Service at any moment. /s
