Harry Reid Attacks GSA Investigation

Unbelievable. Do-nothing Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, who has no plans to do his job this year, is attacking Rep. John Mica for launching the investigation into GSA excess in Las Vegas, in Reid’s home state.

“First of all, Mica, who is doing this, should get a life and do what he’s supposed to do,” said Reid to a group of reporters in Las Vegas, according to the Las VegasReview-Journal. “It’s because of him that the transportation bill is a total failure.”

But Mica was unapologetic:

I want to tell him and others that I have a life and that’s dedicated to uncovering waste and inefficiency in the federal government and bringing business-type common-sense practices, whether it’s GSA or other federal agencies.

Senator Reid should take a more cautious tone. One could get the impression that he has no problem with the excessive spending at the GSA conference because it benefited his constituency. In fact, one might even notice that the ballooning cost for the event has occurred during his time in the Senate. But I’m sure the Honorable Senator Reid would never abuse his position to steer hundreds of thousands of federal dollars to Las Vegas.

Yea. No. Never. I’m sure it’s just a coincidence.
