We have a huge problem with perspective in America regarding the economy and jobs. At some time recently business owners and corporations mutated. They used to exist to provide a service or a product. But today they have become employers and job providers. Problem is, jobs aren’t and never have been the point. Jobs come when a business succeeds in its core function. Hiring a bunch of people is nice, but if no one is buying your product or utilizing your service you’ll be out of business shortly. You can’t push a rope. That’s why our Government is failing and flailing in their attempts to “rescue the economy” via “Jobs” and “Loans” and will continue to fail until they get out of the way.
Meanwhile, we citizens aren’t helping with our attitude of employment entitlement.
“I don’t give jobs. I hire men.”
