Court Demands Clarification

Yesterday I wrote a quick post about Obama’s speech that used especially interesting language to suggest that the “unelected” Supreme Court would be committing judicial overreach by negatively ruling on the constitutionality of the Health Care legislation. It really sounds like a warning. And it is a disturbing prospect for a sitting President to so misunderstand the three separate but equal branches of our Federal Government.

It seems the Courts are somewhat alarmed at the President’s rhetoric as well:

“That has troubled a number of people who have read it as somehow a challenge to the federal courts or to their authority,” [Judge Jerry] Smith said. “And that’s not a small matter.”

This humble ground squirrel agrees, wholeheartedly.

The Courts gave the Justice Department 24 hours to clarify the President’s remarks.

Right about now, I imagine all of those students who had Obama for Constitutional Law are transitioning from pride at benefiting from his expertise to the realization they were robbed.

[Added:] Meanwhile the President’s supporters double down.

[Added:] Yea, did I just say something about Obama’s students realizing they were robbed?
